Kerry WHITESIDE (Franklin and Marshall College, USA)

Kerry Whiteside teaches Political Science at Franklin and Marshall College, Pennsylvania, USA. He holds a PhD and a Masters in Political Science from Princeton University. He is specialised in modern political philosophy and European politics. His research focuses, among others, on philosophy of the environment, the precautionary principle, and environmental policies. Together with Prof. Dominique Bourg from the University of Lausanne, he published in 2009 a book 'For an ecological democracy' which contributes to the discussion about the weaknesses and shortcomings of the existing democratic political model in face of today's global environmental issues.
